High Color Fastness Of Superfiber Suede Leather
With the rapid development of China's automobile industry, the covering materials of automobile seats have also been developed by leaps and bounds, gradually moving towards high-end, dynamic, personalized, environmental protection and functionalization. The super fiber suede leather is not only comfortable to touch, elegant in appearance, but also has the characteristics of anti-aging, long service life and lightweight similar to the leather structure.
High color fastness of microfiber suede leather includes: color fastness to light, color fastness to wet rubbing, acid rubbing, and alkali rubbing. In the national standard system, there are five choices of exposure methods in GB/T8426-1998 "Textiles - Tests for Color Fastness to Light: Color Fastness to Daylight" and GB/T8427-1998 "Textiles - Tests for Color Fastness to Artificial Light: Color Fastness to Xenon Arc". The standards used by various automotive manufacturers for the color fastness to light of automotive seat test samples are different. Volkswagen AG of Germany uses the PV1303 method because PA6 fibers are prone to aging, especially when exposed to strong light, which can cause yellowing. The fiber material used for microfiber suede leather should be light resistant PET. While the color fastness of microfiber suede leather to wet wipe, acid wipe, and alkali wipe reaches levels 3 to 4, which requires a high level of color fastness for PET and PU dyeing. Especially, PET needs to be dyed at high temperatures and pressures, and the selection of pigments and process routes is also extremely demanding.
