How To Produce Microfiber Leather?

During the production process of microfiber leather, after the dyeing process, it is necessary to test whether the color fastness of the microfiber leather meets the standards. Only after passing the test can it be put into market use. Generally speaking, the detection of color fastness requires three aspects of testing. Only after passing the three different tests can the standard for color fastness be truly met. What are the three specific tests for color fastness testing? Let's take a look together.

1. Color fastness to acid and alkali perspiration of microfiber leather: The color fastness to acid and alkali perspiration shall be in accordance with GB/T3922. Affix a textile sample with one or two specified backing fabrics, place them in acidic and alkaline simulated sweat, remove the test solution, and place them between two plates of the test device to withstand the specified pressure. Use a gray scale to evaluate the discoloration of dry specimens and adjacent fabrics, as well as the staining of adjacent fabrics.

2. Color fastness to saliva: The color fastness to saliva shall comply with GB/T18886. Affix a textile sample with one or two specified lining fabrics, place it in artificial saliva for treatment, remove the test solution, and place it between two plates of the test device to withstand the specified pressure. Use a gray scale to evaluate the discoloration of dry specimens and adjacent fabrics, as well as the staining of adjacent fabrics.

3. Color fastness to dry and wet rubbing of microfiber leather: The color fastness to dry and wet rubbing shall be in accordance with GB/T3920. Rub the sample with dry and wet friction cloth respectively, and evaluate the staining of the friction cloth with a gray sample card.
